How to best Overcome the Yetzer
The Monstrejo from Pep Lluis Llado on Vimeo.
Personally, I see a multitude of messages in this video. Curious to hear what you guys think...
For starters, light=knowledge of Truth. The driving force behind beating the Y"H lies in our trust in that light and knowing that if we love and embrace our challenges we stand to win any battle.

There must be many ways to interpret this, but what I am seeing in the ending are the various stages of descent. First there is curiosity, overconfidence, loss of the fear of sin, then fatigue – the little person knows that she needs the light to remove the monster but is too tired to keep it on. The next stage is the acceptance of the dark side, embracing it, submission to it, enjoyment. Not shown are the more advanced phases of craving and seeking it out, the loss of spirit, connection to the divine, soul cut off from its life force.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting reading. I most definitely hear it. Certainly not my first impression. The main reason why I personally find it difficult is because in my mind, the turning point was the moment the girl was able to laugh at the monster - implying that she knows truth from falsehood, good from evil, and where her own power lies (with the light).
